Hi everyone. I attended a woman’s college back in the day, and feel very strongly about this issue. Calliope should be allowed to attend Smith, assuming she has the right grades/scores/recs/personal statement/etc. to be admitted. No one should tell her that her biological gender ought to overrule the gender she identifies as. No one gets to tell Calliope that she is not a woman.

Calliope has been denied the right to application twice, but this is not acceptable. Please call Smith’s dean of admissions Deb Shaver at (413) 515-2500 and ask her to reconsider Calliope’s case.
